Cobeal's N95 Respirator masks are examples of personal protective equipment (PPE) that are used to protect the wearer from airborne particles and from the liquid contaminating the face.
The general public does not usually weare N95 respirators. These are generally worn by medical and laboratory workers. The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to viruses. As a reminder, Cobeal recommends everyday preventative actions, such as hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer, to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases.
Cobeal's N95 respirator is a respiratory protective device designed to achieve a very close facial fit. It is efficient in its filtration of ariborne particles. The Cobeal 'N95' designation means that when subjected to careful testing, the respirator blocks at least 95 percent of very small (0.3 microns) test particles. If properly fitted, the filtration capabilities of N95 respirators exceed those of face masks. However, even a properly fitted Cobeal N95 respirator does not completely eliminate the risks associated with exposure to airborne contaminants.
The edges of the respirator are designed to form a seal around the nose and mouth. Surgical N95 Respirators are commonly used in healthcare settings and are a subset of N95 Filtering Facepiece Respirators (FFRs), often referred to as N95s.
Cobeal's N95 respirators are manufactured for use in construction and other industrial type jobs that expose workers to dust and small particles. They are regulated by the National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL) in the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), which is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Cobeal's N95 respirators for health care are specifically, single-use, disposible respiratory protective devices, used and worn by health care personnel during procedures to protect both the patient and health care worker from the transfer of microorganisms, body fluids, and particulate material. These surgical N95 respirators are Class II devices regulated by the FDA, under 21 CFR 878.4040, and CDC NIOSH under 42 CFR Part 84.
Disposable Respirators are the general industry term for face masks containing filter material to block airborne particles from passing through. These masks are designed to be thrown away after use. Disposible Respirators protect workers from inhaling particles creating during grinding, crushing, drilling, sanding, mixing and cleaning operations.
In North America, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approves disposable respirators and they are rated N95, N99 and N100 according to their filtration capacity. The N95 is by far the most popular disposable respirator for use in the United States.
While single layer nuisance dust masks can help keep you safe during light construction or cleaning activities, they offer little protection against very small particles traveling through the air, like germs from a cough or sneeze, or fine non-poisonous dusts. For protection against small particles, a mask with filtration material, a particulate respirator, is often required. The most popular of particulate respirators approved by NIOSH is the N95 mask, labeled N95 for their 95% efficiency rating. The N95 masks can filter particles of 0.3 microns.
Because of their low price, effectiveness, and comfort, N95 masks are standard in many industries, and have become a popular way to prevent the spread of germs among the general public. If you sell to, or are in the industrial, medical, dental, automotive, tattoo or do-it-yourself markets, many of your customers may require N95 masks. N95 masks must be properly fit tested and are "single use" respirators.
The N95 mask has also become popular in the medical field. NIOSH and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended N95 masks for protection of healthcare workers who come in direct contact with patients with H1N1 and other airborne viruses. There are also NDA masks that are certified by the FDA for use in surgery.
Filter material. All N95 masks will have at least a minimum filtration efficiency of 95%, but that does not mean that all filters are the same. It is important to select an N95 filter with low breathing resistance.
Exhalation valve. Although not required for effective use of an N95, some users prefer a one-way exhalation valve that gives lower exhalation resistance for hot and humid working conditions.
Nosepiece and headstraps. The nosepiece and headstraps play an important role in not only the comfort of the mask, but also effectiveness. An N95 needs to fit tightly against the wearer's face for full effectiveness.
Mask shape. Our N95 masks are available in a number of shapes. The most common is the N95 cone mask, but flat fold masks are also very popular. Mask shape is most often a matter of user preference.

DownloadCobeal's surgical mask is a loose-fitting, disposable device that creates a physical barrier between the mouth and nose of the wearer and potential contaminants in the immediate environment. Surgical masks are regulated under 21 CFR 878.4040. Surgical masks are not to be shared and may be labeled as surgical, isolation, dental, or medical procedure masks.
Cobeal's surgical masks are made in different thicknesses and with different features and benefits to protect you from contact with liquids. These properties may also affect how easily you can breathe through the mask and how comfortable the surgical mask feels when you're wearing it.
If worn properly, a Cobeal surgical mask is meant to help block large-particle droplets, splashes, sprays, or splatter that may contain germs (viruses and bacteria), keeping it from reaching your mouth and nose. Cobeal's surgical masks may also help reduce exposure to your saliva and respiratory secretions to others.
While Cobeal's surgical masks may be effective in blocking splashes and large-particle droplets, a face mask, by design, does not filter or block very small particles in the air that may be transmitted by coughs, sneezes, or certain medical procedures. Cobeal's surgical masks do not provide complete protection from germs and other contaminants because of the loose fit between the surface of the face mask and your face.
Cobeal's surgical masks are not intended to be used more than once. If your mask is damaged or soiled, or if breathing through the mask becomes difficult, you should remove the face mask, discard is safely, and replace it with a new one. To safely discard your mask, place it in a plastic bag and put it in the trash. Wash your hands after handling the used mask.
Surgical masks or face masks are not designed to form a seal around the nose and mouth.

Cobeal's Germicidal UV Light Bulbs are available in 18" and provide a worry-free performance for an entire year. The 15 watt UV bulb emits UV-C light to inactivate bacteria, molds, virus, protozoa and yeast. The high-quality lamp has a diameter of 25.5mm, with a lower mercury dosage to meet environmental needs. The low pressure mercury arc lamp emits a radiation peak of 248-255nm.
Cobeal's UV-C light bulb is compatible with germicidal OEM air, UV sterilizer and ultraviolet purifiers. The short wavelengths of the germicidal light bulbs emit ultraviolet rays that enable thorough disinfection. This method alters the genetic composition of the microorganisms and renders them harmless. The bulbs should be replaced annually for optimal efficiency. These high-quality lamps last approximately 10,000 working hours.
Ultraviolet light is part of the light spectrum, which is classified into three wavelength ranges:
UV-C light is germicidal – i.e., it deactivates the DNA of bacteria, virus and other pathogens and thus destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease. Specifically, UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acid of microorganisms by forming covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in the DNA. The formation of such bonds prevent the DNA from being unzipped f
Ultraviolet technology is a non-chemical approach to disinfection. In this method of disinfection, nothing is added which makes this process simple, inexpensive and requires very low maintenance. Cobeal's UV-C Germicidal Lamps are designed and calculated to produce a certain dosage of ultraviolet (usually at least 16,000 microwatt seconds per sq

DownloadThe Hollsten™ Group of Companies has been serving the health care and laboratory community since 1963, long enough to address worldwide epidemics such as the Asian flu, cholera, and mumps. Outbreaks of Ebola, measles, plague, SARS, malaria, polio, smallpox (yes, smallpox), hepatitis B, meningitis, yellow fever, and other deadly diseases have also occurred among populations and in areas that seem far away but are no longer isolated from us. Indeed, "It's a small world, after all," as the Disney song goes - a warning that infectious diseases in one region can threaten the world population.
As unnerving as the COVID-19 outbreak has been, exotic diseases in remote places are not the ones that usually pose the biggest threats. Infectious diseases at home and in our healthcare settings are hazardous to our health on a day-to-day basis. How can we protect ourselves from dangerous infectious diseases that destroy lives across the globe? One approach that reduces the risk of contracting many infectious diseases is the simple act of handwashing and using antibacterial hand sanitizer.
Wherever you are, whether at home or abroad, washing your hands or using hand sanitizer can lower your risk of infection. Hand hygiene can stem the tide of many diseases and slow their spread. Handwashing and using hand sanitizer helps to keep travelers safe. Hand hygiene reduces the transmission of disease and the number of victims in homes, schools, workplaces, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings.
Cobeal's R46™ Original Hand Sanitizer was created to serve as a barrier and immune mechanism against infectious diseases. It is one of the products that we consider our first line of defense against outbreaks of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, which spreads through the vulnerable patient population and beyond. Cobeal's R46™ Original Hand Sanitizer is an effective approach for reducing germs that breach our natural defenses. The first line of defense is keeping our hands clean.
Our Hand Sanitizer can be effectively used on surfaces, such as cell phones, handbags, doorknobs, and other people’s hands can spread infections and lead to contamination and disease.
Cobeal's R46™ Original Hand Sanitizer provides an additional layer of protection when interacting with public spaces. Since we can only control our own behaviors and actions with regards to hygiene, using R46™ Original Hand Sanitizer is an effective way to mitigate germs we might otherwise catch from touching germ-laden surfaces in public places, such as sinks in public restrooms, shopping cart handles, playground swings and jungle gyms, telephones and keyboards at the office, high chairs in restaurants, cruise ship handrails, bus and subway handrails, escalator handrails in malls, ATM touch pads, public pens and the credit-card machine stylus, doorknobs, money, restaurant menus, airplane bathrooms, doctors’ offices, and even the lemon wedges we ask for in our drinks at restaurants.
